I am Liuyi Wang, a Ph.D. candidate in Marketing at the Eller College of Management, University of Arizona.
My research examines how firms and individuals respond to structural changes in their environments. These shifts—such as market consolidation, demographic transitions, or institutional interventions—disrupt the status quo and often require strategic adaptation. I explore how organizations reshape their boundaries in response to evolving market dynamics in supply chain settings, and how individuals adjust their consumption in the face of policy-induced constraints or opportunities. Methodologically, I employ econometric and causal inference techniques on large-scale observational data.
Prior to entering the Ph.D. program, I earned an M.Sc. in Quantitative Economics and Econometrics from the University of Arizona, and a B.S.Sc. in Economics from Hong Kong Baptist University.
